Divitto Kelly and Andrea Kelly Papier-Mache Sculpture, Work Shop and Educational DesignMy name is DiVitto Kelly. My wife Andrea and I are papier mache artists and instructors. We create colorful sculptures,ranging from dogs and cats to supersized 6-foot Pop-Tarts®. We also teach fun, interactive papier mache classes throughout Florida. Our sculptures, big or small, are lightweight and quite durable. We use a papier mache mix that when completely dry, is solid and long-lasting. We also enjoy making sculptures by using high-quality Styrofoam as a base. We apply layers of colored tissue paper with a glue/water mix to create a vivid collage. What I particularly enjoy about this type of art is that we can create something large, yet extremely lightweight. For example, we can make an 8-foot shark that weighs less than five pounds. The best part is you can hang the sculpture like a painting using Velcro, hooks, or nails |

With 10 years of experience, Andrea and I teach various types of papier mache art at educational facilities such as libraries, schools, aquariums, and nature centers all over Florida. Past workshops include: Miami Seaquarium, Mote Marine Laboratory, Key West Library, Captiva Memorial Library, and the Broward County Reading Festival.
Recent projects: We created a 6-foot tiger for the World Wildlife Fund. At first, the sculpture was heading to Qatar, but the cost was too expensive. It’s now in Washington, D.C. For the immensely popular Taste of Chicago Food Festival, we made a pair of 5-foot turkey legs. We even make a 6-foot Cat in the Hat (standing on a ball) and two 5-foot giraffes. We love a challenge!

Your shark sculptures are the perfect decor for my 8 year old son´s bedroom. They are
not too babyish, but not too scary either. His blue "Sharky" hangs above his bed, but the
smaller "Sharko" and "Thrasher" get carried around as his friends. He says, "They are awesome!"
